I think that its a bit expansive for Mexican one... this price is more likely for a Japanese one. Will wait for other offers | |

Ok, but in case of Japanese Fender, All fret less model have U.S. pick up (Fender Vintage Pick up). And material is alder, so anyway, price is more expensive than usual Japanese Fender which has Japanese pick up, and Ripa for materials. Tanaka 89166592837 |

hmm... so, you're telling me, that it's impossible to find Jap. JB Fretless for 600-700$? They're more expensive anyway? Then what 'bout Mexican one? Is it good enough or bad, what can you say? Once I've played my friends mexican stratocaster, and STRANGELY it was good for me, neck was perfect as on my USA stratocaster, sound was nice too. If you will say that Mexican JB is okey, i'll take it up to 550$ (not 600$) What can you say 'bout other brands? Like Greco/Tokai/etc...? |

Your first order was right. Tokai, Greco and Fender Japan is basically same level. And if that is in 80s, thier quality is very high. So the best choice is Tokai, Greco or Fender Japan. Actually they were produced more or less in the same kind of factories. As you know well, problem of musical instrument like guitar or bass is that they have different qualities in each pcs. If produced in same years in same brand, they are different. Even new one, you can find diffenece among same brands bass. Sometimes Fender Mexico has very good one. I had telecaster. That was quite same level as USA. Even that was better than Japanese. So it is difficult to say. But I can say that if budget is 550-600, you should choose Tokai or Greco. If they put Fender brands, value in the second hand maeket is more evaluated. So if I am you, I will look for Tokai or Greco or even in other japanese brands for long time. If I have a time. tanaka 89166592837 |

I can spend 600-700$ if it is Tokai or Greco, but not if it's Fender Mexico, 'cause i do believe Mexican guitars USUALLY (not always of course) are not very good and especially it's true when we are talkin' 'bout specific instruments such as fretless bass. As far as i know Mexican guitars are made of crappy wood, and it's not so important if it's a telecaster ![]() ![]() So yes, i'm not in a hurry. I will wait for a good offer (Tokai/Greco) 600-700$. Thank you ![]() |
