BTW: Watch out for that guitar stand if it´s got the "Surgery Rubber" as protection.
That rubber can interact with the nitro laquer, and you don´t want that

Yeah,they were Chernishevs,but i replaced them.Main reason:I dont like chrome pickup-caps.
In sound there is no big difference.Maybe the Duncans sound a little more "dirty",and the Chernishevs more "vintage".

BTW:My baby normally sleeps in his case. ;)

Cost for our 100% hand-made  "79 silverburst replica" is US$2100 including SKB-56 deluxe molded flight case.

Some of "our" silverbursts have cost somewhat more, due to additional custom personalizations specified by their owners :)

this is really an amazing axe, the silverburst, but a wee bit too
much for me...

mr Walker, a 1959 reissue, is that just as expensive as this
silverburst? just a rough approximate....?

I can allready tell you that i wont be. The things that make a silverburst more expensive ( as do gibson custom les pauls to standerds ) is the use of mop in the inlays ( headstock also ), the ebont fretboard and the multi layer bindings. Specialy the bindings are "expensive" due to the simple fact that it takes a lot of work puting 7 layers of it on a guitar the 5 more on the back and headstock.

a 1959 lp with burst on a plain maple top , mop inlays  , mammoth ivory nut and gotoh plastic keystone machine heads will cost you around and about 1766$ shipping to europe included in a pro el molded case. Give or take some $ on the rest of the hardware you want.

that is VERY doable!! compared with a gibson R9! and since I
dont want really special specs (well...is a long tennon a special
specification? and 4 pushpullpots) it must be absolutely under
1850 dollars! thnx

Well dont shoot me if its more expensive ! I just love playing with the quote generator and its what michael uses when making quotes so i guess i am not that far off :). 4 push pull pots are 48 bucks for highest quality ones which i would recommend. Actualy i believe the longer neck tennon is not an extra charge but i am sure ill be corrected if i am wrong.

well, as long is it isnt as much as a normal gibson standard (not
customshop!) i.e.: 2300 EURO'S!!, its fine by me (2300 euro's is,
by heart, 2600 dollars, if not more)
