Congratulations Paul, on the birth of your second Shamray Custom Shop instrument (serial number CS 0068)!

Detailed specification of Guitar: CS-0068 ‘PS P-BASS” 

Body : selected lightweight Russian alder  with some sound chambers to reduce weight..

shape : 54 Precision with front & back contours.

Paint-finish  : large gold metal flake.

Neck: AAAAA birdseye maple , 51 precision headstock , 9.5 inch radius , nut width 40 mm,      &nb sp; ;
** width at 20th fret 63 mm.

** Thickness at 1st fret 20 mm , at 12th fret 22 mm.

** something between a P & J neck….

** rounded/rolled shoulders for “played in” feel ! Black plastic dots side & fretboard.

** frets :  Sintoms 6155 medium jumbo's  20 frets.

** nut : white plastic or bone.

** string guide 1

** tuners: vintage Gotoh bass keys nickelplated.

** matching headstock ( goldflake) / clear gloss finish (not tinted !)

** customers own logo /owners name on back & shamray stamp & serial #. (customer-supllied artwork )
** outer sides of headstock slightly sanded/rolled  off  for vintage look, just a little bit to lose the slab look

Pickups:   Chernyshev , single alnico , bridge vintage Jazzbass , neck 51 P-bass.   Reversed     ** …..wound/reversed polarity ?

Controls :  concentric pots 2 , like 61 Jazzbass.

Knobs : 2 vintage upper knob & 2  vintage lower knob

Control plate :   51 P-bass……chrome plate

Bridge :  Gotoh Vintage P/J bass bridge , top loading.

Pickup/bridge - covers : Bridge 51  P-bass with rubber mute inside , neck 51 P-bass – chrome.

Strings : flatwound Ernie Ball   45 /95

Jackplate : electro socket /  side mounted.

Output jack : switchcraft mono( included with electro socket….)

Tone capacitors : 2 small ones….

Thumb-rest : made from the necks birdseye maple – 2 screws.

I am no expert on basses but i think fender actualy did move it to the other side somewhere in the 60's ? Anyway when its put this way you can rest your finger on it and pluck the strings with your thumb. Doesnt cover the thumbrest name i know but it is in the right place for a p-bass i think.
