Ïîïàëîñü òóò íà ãëàçà, ìàòåðèíã-èíæåíåð ñòóäèè Panic room (Øâåöèÿ), íåñêîëüêî òåñòîâ: 1) The point of this test is to get more meat and body into the sound without having it sound overly distorted while keeping transients as intact as possible while doing so. The playlist in the audio file feature 8 bars each of... 1. Original (control file) 2. Nebula with CDSoundmasters R2R Studer and Tape Booster + libraries 3. UAD Studer A800 The settings are 15ips, 456 tape, +6 calibration with EQ curves matching as close as possible. 2)Here is a blind A/B test! This is the closest match I could achieve between the machines and what's important to note is that this does not really fit the mix. So don't try to decide if you like it or not, just try to decide which of the examples accomplishes the task better. Pretty hard... I know. For you who like to try on your own, I've linked the FXP file that you can import to the UAD Studer plugin so it matches up with the R2R... in this case the Studer -15, 15ips A program. Noise has been turned off on the UAD Studer. Tape is 456 at +6, 15ips at ~0VU. Reprod EQ and HF driver tuned to match the R2R program as closely as possible. This is round two of the UAD Studer A800 vs. Nebula R2R studer BLIND TEST. This time, without any graphs to look at and with the files more evenly matched and they might've have also been swapped around...
